The gophers sometimes full up the trap entrance with dirt and trip the kill wire without getting killed

If you have a few gophers in your lawn and don't want to use poison, the Black Hole is a reasonable option. Good news: you will almost certainly catch your gopher, in 1-2 days. A sure kill. Bad news: 1) you will need to dig a hole in your lawn roughly 12-18 inches in diameter and about 12 inches deep (keep it and replace it post-kill); and 2) getting the dead gopher out of the trap and re-using it is a bit messier than most suburbanites will want to deal with. Believe me, it's not a pretty sight, and I basically just throw the whole trap away, gopher and all. So, it's about $12 per gopher.

My neighbor loaned me one trap, in eight days I caught 18 pocket gophers. I had to add this tool to my arsenal to control gophers. It is now the ONLY tool I have. Fast, easy and effective. Don't wait another second, order now. I highly recommend this product.

I bought three Black Hole traps several years ago and have caught dozens of gophers with them. I finally decided to get new ones because the springs were not as strong as when new.I put the new traps in the ground the day I received them and caught a gopher in each trap by morning. I highly recommend these traps for effectiveness and durability.
